Anniversary 'Hoods!
4 years since our first 'Hoods!

We weren't meeting as a team until 2pm. So, as we are want to do, Bill and I did a little pre-gaming.
Highlights:
-LOTS of murals
-some significant, and beautiful, older houses
-Bill hadn't been to 6 corners on our previous
'hoods so we checked it out, as well as that
old Sears.
-Bill and I had a date lunch at Sabatino's,
an adorable, old school Italian joint with
plastic grapevines, and a pretty slammin
bar around a grand piano.
-we met the rest of the goup at Cafe Versailles
for crepes and coffee.
- a bunch of old houses and a Presbyterian
church on Keeler
-Carl Schurz high school, super pretty, super
prairie school
-St Viator Church (and a couple of others we
just happened upon)
-walked the Villa district, a bunch of prairie
style bungalows. I remember Paul being
super confused why we were just walking
around looking at old houses in the cold and
snow. I don't remember him coming back on
too many 'hoods after that :)
-dinner at Smoque bbq
-ended by leaving Old Irving Park and driving up
to Cuneen's in Rogers Park, to celebrate the
anniversary where it all began! Where Ed and I
came up with the seeds of 'hoods. The Kleins
got me a celebratory Stein. Love. And I put
together a photo compilation of the previous
four years of 'hoods. We're a people who love
to mark an occassion.

Bill, William, Emo and I also visited Schurz High School during Open House Chicago 2016.
We got to go inside and see the murals in the library. She's a beauty.

Impressions: Super residential. Lovely. Safe. Lots of old homes. Great representation of a truly Chicago neighborhood.
